- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder

- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
- Portion Batter: Scoop the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, add an extra 1/4 cup of cocoa powder.
- If you want a richer texture, replace half of the milk with sour cream.
